Please be specific about macOS version, and Adobe Acrobat Pro version that you're using.
If this issue never happened before, can you tell if it started after the latest update was applied to Acrobat? an unattended update took place in your machine for the OS?
Also, please state if this is happening with ionly this file or is it happening with every PDF that you open in Acrobat?

you may also try the following preference settings and see if that helps:
Go to Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC > Preferences > General > Uncheck, Show online storage when saving the file.
Also, try with a different PDF file, if the file is stored on a shared network drive please try to download the file to your computer and try again. If its a file specific issue please share the file with us for testing.

I would also suggest that you try and apply the two updates that were released for May 2020.

Are you able to access the Document cloud/My Computer tab under Home view or do you observe a rotating spinner on those screens as well?
