I see this question has been asked in the past, but not sure if the answer has changed with newer versions of Acrobat.
Is it possible to create a form in Acrobat Pro (which would be deployed to people only with Reader) that enables users to upload an image into a specified field?
Thank you.

Only if they use Reader XI or higher and the image is in PDF format.

Hi, I was directed here by adobe support ( ! ). Could you tell me which is the way to insert that image field? Is that still the button with JS as on Insert editable picture into PDF form?

Yes, that's it. Only now if they have the very latest version of Reader they'll be able to insert other image file-types as well!

Thanks! I don't think it's an option then. Cheers

I have created my form with the script from the link in Acrobat DC. I am testing the form in the latest version of Reader - DC - and it lets me select a .jpg as the file to insert which works most of the time. But I'm testing with a few different files, and sometimes it crashes? Any ideas? I was thinking file size... It seems to crash over 1Mb, does that seem logical?
Is there a way to prevent people from being able to upload a file over 1mb so it doesn't crash on the end user?
