Acrobat Pro DC installation message

Trying to install from the download page but keep getting the following pop-up:

 

Permission may be required

You may need to request permission from your IT administrator to use this app or service.

 

The user is an Administrator on his machine, he received an email from Adobe to go download the program.

Trying to install on a Surface Pro 6 with Windows 10 Professional.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

 

Have your admin checked if windows 10 is blocking the .exe Acrobat installation file?

 

To find out you can right-click on the installation file, select Properties, and see if the tick box that says "Unblock" is not checked.

 

It needs to be checked.

 

If this is a bigger issue, Microsoft also has available for download the Install Uninstall Program Troubleshooter.

If this is a work computer, was the file downloaded from the Adobe email link saved into another network location rather than  the local computer where he's trying to perform the install?
