Acrobat Pro DC Update Problem

New Here ,
Mar 06, 2017 Mar 06, 2017

Hello,

I purchased the retail boxed DVD version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.  Everything installed and operates just fine.  When I click on Help/About/ it shows 2015 Release (Continuous) Version 2015.009.20077.  When I "Check for Updates" it says an update is available and downloads THE EXACT SAME VERSION (2015.009.20077) and completes and says "Update Complete".  Another check for updates does the same thing.  It's as if it is stuck in a loop and I cant get past 2015.009.20077.  I have tried all the usual suggestions.  I uninstalled with with the Adobe Cleaner program, reinstalled, still same results.  Anyone have any ideas on how to get this to update to the most recent update?

Running Windows 10 by the way.

Thanks

update by downloading the files directly and then applying them,  http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

[moved from Downloading, Installing, Setting Up to Installing, Updating, & Subscribing to Acrobat]

Thanks for the suggestion but I tried that already.  I get a Windows Installer message that says "The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program.  Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."

The patch that I was trying to install was "AcrobatDCUpd1502320053.msp"

if you're sure there's an update for acrobat dc perpetual license (as opposed to acrobat dc subscription), you can

uninstall your acrobat (after securing your serial number)

clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

restart your computer

retry install your acrobat

update.

I tried that exact sequence of steps already.  Maybe there is isnt an update for my perpetual license but I don't know why it would keep suggesting that an update is available, then downloading and installing the update version that already exists.

i have a subscription and have a more recent version, but i'm not sure that helps.

using a browser that allows popups and cookies, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html
