Hi there, I have recently upgraded my laptop, just before Christmas, and Creative Cloud has been transferred over to it. I only noticed the other week but when I opened Acrobat Pro DC only a small number of tools are now available - not the full suite. It looks like a standard version rather than Pro - it's missing many tools including 'Prepare a form' which is what I need. My version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is 21.0 and it's 64-bit. Has anyone had this issue? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have had Nitro added to my laptop - could there be a conflict with that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

- What tools are you missing?

I only have Create PDF, edit PDF, Export PDF, Fill & Sign, Export, Comment, Stamp and Measure in the tools section.
This is what it says in the About Adobe Acrobat section:

I suspect you're using Reader, not Acrobat.
Please post a screenshot of the About window.

Hi Louise,
Thanks for reporting this to us.
We'd like to know that when you have upgraded your laptop, did you transferred the CC from backup or did a fresh install?
You may try this and let us know if that helps:
1- Quit the CC desktop application.
2- Use this cleaner tool for the removal of Acrobat traces: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html
3- and do a fresh install: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/download-install-acrobat-subscription.html
Thanks,
Akanchha

Hi Akanchha,
Thank you for your reply. It may have been a backup version but I won't know as it was performed by the IT dept at my work. I have asked our IT helpdesk to try the options you have mentioned here as I don't have the authorisation myself. I will report back later with any news.
Thanks,
Louise

Thank you for this! I have been fighting this issue for months and could not figure out why my fancy version was missing so many tools (I was missing all the pro tools). I searched the internet for hours for solutions could never find anything that referenced this issue. I followed your instructions and now I have a full functioning version of Acrobat DC.
It would be nice if this issue/resolution came up in the help articles when searching for "<ToolX> missing" or similar search term.
Thanks again you made my day!

Yes, mine is still not working. I've had the 32-bit version reinstalled but that doesn't seem to make much diference. The tool appear for a couple of days and then they diappear again. My IT dept are currently looking into it so will let you know if I find out anything.

Hi @Louise23175086ye5a and @sychuong5ECE
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.
Would you mind sharing the screenshot of the issue you are experiencing for a better understanding? Also, please share the version of the Acrobat DC and the OS you are using?
Also, we would need the file C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\cryptocme.sig
from the affected machine for further investigation of the issue.
You may share the file as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html
Regards
Amal

Please try to remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html and reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html and see if that helps.

Hi,
My IT department have completely removed Creative Cloud and reinstalled it. The Adobe Acrobat Pro worked for about a day with all tools - then the next day - they had disappeared again.
It's like my account is syncing with the cloud and these certain functions are not available within my account the next time I use it.

Hello Louis,
I don't see that problem on my end. I installed this on my home computer and I don't see that problem. Only work computer. I am planning to wipe the work laptop and reinstall a fresh copy to see how it goes. I will keep you guys posted.
