Acrobat pro having trouble detecting check boxes when creating a form

Hi,
I used InDesign to build a table with check boxes in it and I'd like to make it a fillable form with "Create form" function on Acrobat Pro.
However, those check boxes have became "undefined" text boxes instead of check boxes.
I also tried creating a text box with a word and typed a check box with the font Zapf Dingbats and it worked completely fine after "Creating form" with Acrobat.
On the other hand, if a text box only has a check box, Acrobat does not detect it as a check box (I'm assuming because there are no text next to it)
Really appreciate it if anyone has an answer to this.
Thank you!

We can't really help you with this issue because we don't know how Acrobat identifies text boxes vs. check-boxes.
However, if you use a script to do it then it can be controlled more precisely. For example, I've developed a (paid-for) tool that will identify check-boxes and radio-buttons created using the Wingdings font and convert them to the appropriate PDF form fields with 100% accuracy. You can find it here: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat/Reader -- Convert Wingdings To Fields
