Acrobat writes too much data on disk

I just found that Acrobat DC Pro writes too much data on my disk. Over 200GB was written within one day.
For example, it will write 200MB when I just highlight a few lines and save the file. Do you have the same issue?

We are sorry to hear that. Please update the application to the recent version 22.3.20281 (Mac) and reboot the computer once and see if that works. Go to Help > Check for updates.
You may also download the patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html
Let us know if you experience any trouble and need more help.

Thanks Amal,
I tried as you said but it didn't work for me. I also tried the latest Acrobat Reader on my Mac and got a similar problem. Is it normal?

We are sorry for the delayed response.
If the issue still occurs, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the direct link
https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html and check if that works.

Hi @Michaelikus,
Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble.
You can remove cache files by following the below steps:
- Open Finder.
- Click "Go" in the menu bar.
- Hold down the Option key and click "Library".
- Alternatively, you can click "Go to Folder" and type in
~/Library
.
- Open the "~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Media Cache" folder.
- Open the "~/Library/Caches/Adobe" folder.
- delete the files within the folders.
- Right-click the Trash icon in the Dock and select "Empty Trash".
Regards,
Souvik.
