I have successfully actioned the 'submit form' button to automatically generate an email when the PDF is opened in Adobe. However, when the PDF is opened in a web browser (e.g. the person doesn't have Adobe installed), the 'submit form' button doesn't work. Is there a way that the action button can work i.e. when clicked, an email is automatically generated that attaches the PDF?

Hi @James28802535hk3c

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

Web browsers use their own PDF mechanism to render and display the PDF contents and they are not Adobe dependant. The Interactive PDF forms having buttons will not work in the web browser. The ideal way is to open the PDF with Acrobat pro or Acrobat Reader (a Freeware application) https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Hope this information will help

Regards

Amal
