Hello. I need the ability to add a barcode to a previously generated pdf so it can be scanned and associated with a visit. We do not generate the reports so it is being added aftwards. Report length varies from 1 page to 12 and I can't always put the barcode it the same location on the page due spacing constraints. Is there a way to store a text box that I can easily copy and paste to each page as needed. Assuming I'm not the first person to want to do something like this, but searching related to pdf and barcodes brings up information on generating forms with barcodes.

You can do it using a simple text field and a 3-of-9 font. You just apply the value to the field, and it will display the value.

This seems espeically silly, but I'm having trouble just copying and pasting from one page to another so that I can generate it once as a text field and then add to each page.

How do you generate the text field? What tools do you select to try and copy it?

I'm in edit pdf add text. I copied and pasted the barcode in 3 of 9 font, and then below in arial. Selected the whole text box and right clicked copy. It's allowing me to paste on a new page now. I wonder what is happening differently.

You need to be in Prepare Form mode.
