I have a question regarding Acrobat Pro 11. There is a Link Tool that you can use to add links and URL's. I can't get it to unselect after adding a link.
I can open pdfs. I can click on the Link tool and add a link. However, when I want to go back to moving around in the pdf I click on the hand tool and it doesn't switch from the Link tool. I also cannot click on the Link tool to turn it off. Has anyone seen this issue?

Simply click on the Hand tool, which is the default tool.

Like I said, when I click on the hand tool it doesn't actually change to the hand tool. The Link Tool is still "active". I'm not sure if this is a bug that was released in a recent update or if it's some configuration that I have to change.

Sorry, didn't notice that. That's very strange. And it's not an update because XI is not supported nor updated any longer...
So you click on the Hand tool and nothing happens, at all? What if you click any other tool?

Hello Erichc,
Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. As per the description above, the Link tool is still active after adding the links and no other tools get active in Acrobat 11, Is that correct?
Please check for any pending updates of Acrobat from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after installing the updates and see if this brings any difference.
You can try resetting the Acrobat's preferences once, and reboot the machine, to reset the preferences, please refer to How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.
Note: Acrobat 11 is already declared as an End of support product, so above suggestions may or may not work. End of Support means that Adobe no longer provides technical support or distributes runtimes. This policy affects product and security updates for all derivatives of a product or product version (localized versions, minor upgrades, operating systems, dot and double-dot releases, and connector products).
For detailed information, refer to End of support for Adobe Acrobat XI and Reader XI
Feel free to update this discussion for any further assistance.
Regards,
Anand Sri.
