Adobe Acrobat 8 - trying to Activate

New Here ,
Jan 01, 2020 Jan 01, 2020

I just installed Acrobat 8 onto my computer. My former computer's hard drive crashed and I had to have the hard drive replaced. I cannot afford to purchase it all over again.

How can I get this product activated?

Thanks!

You can't, I'm afraid.

Acrobat 8 is very old software.  I'm sorry to say the aging activation servers for this product stopped working a long time ago and Adobe ended all support for it.

Acrobat Reader DC is free.

If you need more than that, you can buy a 1 year subscription to Acrobat Standard (Windows only) at $12.99/month or Acrobat Pro DC (Win or Mac) for $14.99/month.

I guess now I have to try an Adobe clone. Any suggestions?

Tired of the companies that discontinue serial #s on their products in the name of the almighty dollar. I spent good money on it several years ago. Hard pressed to do so. Now I am not working, so cannot afford to purchase it.

As  I said earlier,  Acrobat Reader DC is free.

I cannot comment on competing PDF apps as I don't use them.

Very sorry about your unemployment situation.  I hope you find a new position very soon.

To edit PDF forms, you need a paid Acrobat version.
