Hello,
I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard installed in my organization. The user tries to write in the acrobat file using (click and drag with pencil to draw freeform on the page opetion). It works sideways(horizontally) but does not work upside down(Vertically).
Here is the option that the user uses to write free form:
This is how it works side ways but not upside down:
Adobe Acrobat standard 9Verison is below:
The screen intertaction related settings are as shown below:
But when I tried it in Adobe Reader DC it seems to work fine:
As you can see it works fine in dc both ways (upside down & sideways).
Why cant he do the same in Adobe Acrobat standard 9?
Note the user tries to write with Pen (stylus)/mouse .
Is there a setting that I need to enable?
Please help me out.
As already pointed out, Acrobat 9 is an older version and is not compatible with Windows 10.
Also, the updater itself is now over.
Even in Acrobat 9.5.5, Windows 7 is the last supported OS, so even if you update it, you can't think it will work Windows 10.

For starters, they need to update their application to the latest 9.x version, which is 9.5.5, then try again.
In addition, Acrobat 9 is a very old version, not supported by Adobe and not compatible with any current operating system, so problems with it are to be expected.

I think getting up to date needs to be a priority for you, EVEN IF it doesn't fix this. I'm assuming your company has a policy not to run software with known unfixed security issues?
