Adobe Acrobat DC Standard won't print a PDF to a PDF - Huh?

My customer has Adobe Acrobat DC Standard installed on her Windows 10 Pro laptop.  She can print any document (unless it's a PDF) to PDF without any problem. But if she tries to print say, 2 pages from a PDF document to PDF using the Adobe Print to PDF dropdown item, nothing happens.  I tried reinstalling Acrobat but it still doesn't work.  The computer is fully updated both with Microsoft and Lenovo.  And obviously, the Acrobat program is newly download.  Any ideas?

If a document has certain security restrictions, Acrobat won't print to PDF, since the resulting PDF would not have any security settings.

I am recently having the same issues as kdrew0987. I have Windows 11 and used to be able to, but recently cannot print ANY pdf - whether downloaded, saved or scanned - to the Adobe PDF printer or Microsoft Print to PDF.  I can print Office docs to PDF but when printing an existing PDF and selecting Adobe PDF as the printer it saves the file type as All Fiiles (*.*)    Saving as a .pdf is not an option.  This message appears "The document could not be printed, kindly use our help page to troubleshoot. If you continue to face this issue kindly reach out to adobe support for assistance."   I'm contacting adobe support for assistance.  Thanks in advance.

Hi @belinda_0265,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble.

The team will be investigating this further. Meanwhile, would you mind sharing logs from your system?

Use this link: https://adobe.ly/499gduO. Please make sure Procmon is selected. You can upload logs using this tool and share your Unique log ID with us.

Also, printer logs would be really helpful to debug the situation. Steps to collect them can be found here: How to collect Print logs for Acrobat/Reader?

Look forward to hearing from you.
