Actually your Mac is telling you your old software won’t run in the next macOS, not that you must upgrade today. How? Upgrade to Acrobat Pro DC (subscription). In theory upgrade to Acrobat Pro 2017, but nobody knows if it will run in macOS 10.15 and updates may rewuire further purchase: wait and see.

With the new release of OS Catalina, all apps on our Macs must be 64 bits. If or when I upgrade, my Adobe Acrobat Pro DC will be useless. Acrobat Pro (a stand-alone program) is my work horse. I cannot afford a subscription to the online version from Adobe. Looks like my new MacBook is already out of date. Thank you, Apple.

Acrobat Pro DC is 64 bit, but you will need the latest release of this subscription product. DON'T UPGRADE YET, Adobe haven't announced anything about what will work. Nobody got the final version of Catalina early, so all developers are now busily retesting.

I too use Adobe Arobat Pro as my workhorse for school and work. My Macbook Pro system information file indicates that my software is 64 Bit ("Yes" column) .However, upon attempting to install OS Catalina, I got an alert indicating the software would not work. I can't install Catalina until my Arobat Pro is certifiable to work with the new OS. Bad news

No, don't upgrade yet! Everyone has read about the 32/64 bit thing, and everyone seems to assume that if they only get rid of 32 bit apps, everything else will be just fine. That's not how upgrades go. Apple always break something. Apple, this time, have also blocked all old software from installing, even if it's 64 bit. Wait for Adobe to say Acrobat DC is ready.
