Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - regular crash

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

We are 3 graphic designer working on Mac OS (Catalina, Mojave, Monterey) and we all encounter problems with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Computers regularly crash when :

- we just open a PDF, both a heavy and a light file.

-  Illustrator save a PDF (illustrator default usely) with the box checked "open the PDF after saving", Adobe Bridge or Illustrator crashes right after.

- trying to delete a PDF file stored in our NAS server.

This happen every day, something like 3 or 4 per day

Is it an Adobe issue or because we all work directly on the server ?

Thank you !

Adrien

this has been my everyday life for the last 4-5 years using adobe. constant crashes, and no support from adobe. on the forum they will tell you to uninstall/reinstall. it never works. Adobe never responds to crash reports either.  i even bought a new macbook pro thinking my last two just weren't powerful enough. nothing changed. Adobe management clearly has no interest in making the investement needed to fix this program.

i've been looking for alternatives. currently trying out PDF Expert and have ZERO problems with PDF's and my fans don't spin constantly. Nothing matches adobe's feature set, which is why i've held out hope for so long, but i can no longer afford the lost time with this program.

We had these problems with our Synolgy too, after the last DSM-Update. Now i have the AFP-Protocol disabeld and switch to SMB3 to mount the NAS on our Macs. This has solved the problem. See my Screenshot for our settings.
