Adobe Acrobat Pro v 2024.001.20615 64-bit using Windows 10 - I get the following error message when opening Adobe and when opening network and local PDF files from file explorer. Also when printing to PDF from Excel and Word. Error does not occur when opening PDF files from within the open app.
There was an error opening this document. The file cannot be found.
This just started happening about a week ago (last week of March 2024). I'm hoping someone has a fix.

Please go through the correct answer marked in the similar discussion : https://adobe.ly/3J7qtYy and see if that works.
Also try to turn off the protected mode for testing, o to Preferences (Ctrl,Cmd+K) > Enhanced Security > Uncheck, Enable protected mode at startup > Click OK and reboot the application.
Note: Please turn on the security after testing to avoid any security risk.

Thank you for your response. The answer located at https://adobe.ly/3J7qtYy does not solve my problem. I also tried unchecking the "Enable Protected Mode" and that does not work either. I had our IT uninstall and install Adobe Acrobat Pro, and that did not solve the problem either. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Please update the application to the new version 24.02.20687 from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that works.
