Adobe is preventing me from saving a document. Please help.

I am getting an error message when trying to safe a file:

 

"The document could not be saved. Bad font object or font descriptor object."

I assume the 'Save as' command gives  the same message?  That would be my first thing to try, attempting a different file name.

The file is corrupt. There's probably not much you can do about it. Did you create it, or was it provided to you?

You may see an improvement by running a preflight fixup- Tools> Print Production> Preflight> Profiles (see screen shot).

I would try the "Fix potential font problems" profile first, and examine the pdf to check for any type problems, (if it works).

Another option is to place the pdf into InDesign and export to a new pdf.
