Adobe chat support have just told me they dont support this. They did say, however:
"I have got a response from my team and Adobe Refresh Manager
is a scheduler to run with windows services. It is safe to uninstall it."
So, I shall remove it. Please comment further if you think this is unsafe. I have had no reliable advice from anyone on this one yet.

To those who successfully uninstalled Adobe Refresh Manager also known as AdobeARM.exe, did you encounter any anomalies to other Adobe products?

It's part of Reader's normal function. Part of making updates work, who knows what else. Why would anyone deliberately delete part of a product??

Agreed it's part of Reader, but some of the old versions aren't supported by Adobe, has anyone encountered any vulnerability attacks arising from AdobeARM.exe?

The wanting to remove part of a product is when a product has so many things added that run all the time without allowing you any control, and Adobe is the worst about this. If you have installed a stand alone program and do not use the cloud based apps then you will for sure want to remove some of the many tools that they have built into the products. I have yet to find any other way to control when or what Adobe runs so removing it is the only solution.
