Hello,
I hope to receive a swift reply.
I have a PDF document with Arabic text that looks normal until I export it into an HTML file so that it can be opened on the browser. When I exported it, all the Arabic words become reveresed but not disconnected.
so kind of like written backwards.
I tried checking the advanced export settings to see if it's a language issue, and there was a section titled "Text Recognition Settings", but to set a language, in the dropdown menu there's no Arabic option.
I'm not sure what to do here.

Exporting a PDF with Arabic content to HTML format will show Arabic text reflected as you have noticed. This has been reported some years ago without getting a fix.
As for the option "Recognize text if needed" well this is irrelevant in your case so even if you turn it off, you still going to get the same flipped text result. Text recognition is a feature used for images where the text is part of an image, but anyway it totally messes up Arabic text since Arabic is not supported.

There are a couple of threads that might help.
How to change language settings of Acrobat (adobe.com)

One thing to consider is that even if Acrobat was to recognise your text correctly (which it nearly does) you need to make sure that the tool you use to view/edit your html export also supports right-to-left Arabic language.
