Hello fellow Community!

So this is my first Post ever and I would like to ask a Question about Acrobat Pro DC.

I use the Program for my Business wich is Painting and Decoration on big Contructionsites in Germany.

In Germany we have to show the Client What we did and What we calculated.

So basicaly a PDF-Plan and a Excel-Calculation.

Our big Issue is that using the Measure Tool on the Plans for Each Building Each Level Each Room can take up to almost 3 Weeks of Works just for the Measurement itself.

Is there a way we miss out to optimize our Work?

For Example is there a way to Filter out for example "Drywall-Lines" and make Acrobat mark them all in Red Automaticaly? And then as a next step Filter out the "Plasterwalls" and make it marked in Green?

Thanks in advance!

I think this is something that should be done in the application you use to create the file. Once it's in PDF format it's a bit too late to start doing this kind of filtering... I don't even know how it would work at all.

Acrobat cannot do "automatic" measurements; but in AutoCAD it is a one-command solution. Buy a copy, demand that your clients supply plans in DWG with each wall type on a different layer. If they refuse, charge them for the extra work of measuring.
