Are Adobe Acrobat Standard IX and Acrobat Pro DC compatible ?

New Here ,

Hello there,

I have two users that work on eachother's documents and need to be able to fill fields for names and such.
Currently, one of them has the Adobe Acrobat Standard 9 version and the other one the Acrobat DC free version and it's not working.

I want to upgrade the Free to the Pro one, but I'd like to know first if the document created by one can be opened by the other, without any issue for filling fields. Would anyone know the answer ?
Or do I have to get two Acrobat Pro DC licenses ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Yes, they should be fully compatible with each other.

Sorry, the user didn't explain properly the issue, had to ask for an explanation.
One of them was making a form from a .docx document and saving it as PDF, and the second one couldn't edit the form.

So that's why the first one needs a Pro version to do that on PDF directly, and not on a .docx.
