Recently when I create PDFs from Word using File Save as PDF, or Acrobat Create PDF, the Arial text is rendered incorrectly, with some letters running into each other. When using File Save as, I selected the Standard (publishing online and printing) option. For Acrobat create, I selected embed all fonts in the Acrobat preferences.
When I looked at the PDF document properties/Fonts for the PDF created using the Word File Save as PDF option, it showed that only some Arial fonts were embedded, and others were not.
The problem does not occur when a colleague creates a PDF from the same document, and I could create PDFs in the past without this problem occurring. The only thing I can think of that has changed is that I recently activated the Open Sans and Liberation Sans fonts in Acrobat Creative Cloud. However, de-activating those fonts in Creative Cloud did not solve the problem.
I'm using Windows 10, Microsoft 365 and Acrobat Pro DB Continuous Release Version 2021.011.20039
Can anyone suggest a solution?
Thanks in advance.
Debbie

I solved the problem for myself using a solution I found posted elsewhere. Before saving to PDF, set the printer in word to the "Microsoft Print to PDF" printer.
