Hi all and thanks for being here 🙂

Question !!

How can I deleat ALL the saved auto fill data?

Each time I fill a new form the list of possible auto fill pops up, most of which is very old.

I would like to deleat all of them, compleatly, as its slowing me down alot, takes ages to load the possibles and the possibles are longer than the screen making it impossible to reach the deleat "X" at the right hand side of the possible suggestions.

Thanks again.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you want to delete the Auto fill info from the suggestion list when filling the PDF forms.

To remove an entry from the Auto-Complete memory, such as a misspelled entry that you found and corrected later, edit the list in the preferences as follows:

  • Open the Preferences dialog box.
  • Select Forms on the left.
  • Click Edit Entry List under Auto-Complete
  • In the Auto-Complete Entry List dialog box, do one of the following, and then click Yes in the confirmation dialog box:
    - To remove all of the entries, click Remove All.
    - To remove some of the entries, select the entries and click Remove. (Shift-click to select multiple adjacent entries; Ctrl-click to select multiple nonadjacent entries.)

For more information please look at the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/filling-pdf-forms.html#auto_complete_forms_interactive_form...

Regards

Amal

I followed your instructions. "Auto Complete" is set to "Off" and the "Edit Entry List" button is greyed out. The button remains greyed out even if I change "Auto Complete" to "Basic" or "Advanced". However, when I choose "Fill & Sign" to make a PDF fillable, there is private, sensitive information (i.e., Social Security number) stored somewhere in Acrobat. There is some auto fill info that is helpful that I would like to keep (name, address, etc.). However, I would like to delete some very private info like my social security number. How do I delete specific auto fill info in Acrobat so that another person using my computer or my Adobe login on a shared computer at work doesn't have access to it? The auto fill is very convenient, but I need to be able to control private information since I often use my Adobe login on shared computers at work.

Hello,

You may also try the following and check if this helps:
Go to https://adobe.ly/3A5a8lC and click on your avatar > Settings on the settings dialog, click 'Clear suggestions,' and uncheck "Auto-suggestions." Click Ok.

You can set the Auto-Complete to Off.

Auto Complete is set to Off. The problem is that I couldn't figure out how to delete specific, private auto fill suggestions (e.g., social security number) that Acrobat had stored from a previous fillable form I had filled.

I did find a solution. When an Auto Complete suggestion comes up that I want to delete, there's an 'x' to the right of the item that lets me delete it:date.jpg
