Auto generating PDF with a alpha numeric code, and fillable fields

Community Beginner ,

Hi there,

I have a client who asks me to create a PDF form with fillable fields.
It's OK.

But it also asks me to generate 2500 PDF like this with a field with a single alpha-numeric string. He provided me with the 2500 alpha-numeric strings in an excel.

Is there a method to automate the process, better than the / Edit / Save-As 2500 times?

Many thanks,

Yes, this can be done using a script, like this (paid-for) one I've developed:

https://www.try67.com/tool/acrobat-create-copies-with-unique-codes

I can adjust it for you so that it will read the code from a list, instead of generating them automatically, of course.

If you are comfortable with InDesign, I believe you can create the form fields there (Window> Interactive> Buttons & Forms) and use Data Merge (Window> Utilities> Data Merge) where you can use a spread sheet to create multiple versions of a PDF, upon export to an interactive PDF.

Hi,

Nice tool.

- Can I configure my own code list with an .cvs or other?

- ¿If the original PDF has Form Field, after add the apply the code, the Pdf Fields still working well?

Many thanks.

- Yes, I can adjust it to allow you to do that.

- Sure, it doesn't conflict with other fields.

If you want to discuss it further please contact me privately via [try6767 at gmail.com].
