Automate multiple profile fixups?

I'm regularly make PDFs—a lot of them—that need a few fixups done each time, like scale pages to A4, then crop all pages to the bounding box, then reduce file size (though maybe that's a different category than fixup?).

Is it possible to do this with one button (or as few clicks as possible anyway)? I also would like automate the dialog that's kind of a like a Save-As that pops up every time and requires a few more clicks per document—I just want to keep the original filename every time.

My workflow associates this action sequence with currently open documents. I can't seem to select that option in the Action Wizard, though it is available when I do the fixups individually. Is there any way to apply the actions to all open documents?

Short answer is no.

Long answer is yes, but it requires some JavaScript development.
