Using Windows 11 / Acrobat Reader - I want to open a large file, choose Print to PDF, choose a few pages, Print and and have the new PDF automatically open. I see posts how to do this with Acrobat Pro or Windows 10 but not with Windows 11 / Acrobat Reader.

I assume you are using the Windows "Print to PDF" function. You would need to direct this question to Microsoft. There is nothing that Adobe can do about this.

Hi @mareim13
Can you please elaborate your workflow a little like in which application you are opening the file and in which application are you printing it ? Like @Karl Heinz Kremer mentioned it could be the MS print to PDF. Also, if possible share the file.
Thanks,
Shakti K

I'm using Adobe Reader and Microsoft print to PDF. It's the same with any file. I was able to do this with Windows 8 but cannot with Windows 11.

The application that creates the PDF file has to tell the operating system to open it using the default application that is configured for PDF files. If Microsoft's PDF generator is not doing that, then there is nothing that Reader can do to fix that. You need to complain to Microsoft that something changed between Windows 8 and Windows 11.

There is no problem with Acrobat being the default application. My question is how to open the new file after MS Print to PDF with limited pages.

This is possible with Adobe Acrobat, not Acrobat Reader.
