Hello,

I have approx 5000s PDFs that I would like to convert to Excel. I have Acrobat Pro DC. It seems that the desktop app only allows conversion of one file at a time. Online, there seems to be a hard limit of 100 files per batch.

My question is, is there a way to batch process a larger number of files (around 5000)? Related question: even if I process 100 files, I'm then unable to download all of the output Excel files at once (too large to zip) - is there a way to bulk download all files from my documents at once, or in manageable chunks as a batch job?

Thank you

You mention downloading. Are you doing this online, by any chance? Acrobat can do this locally, without having to upload and download anything. It is not suited for such large operations, though.

Thank you. I had been attempting this online as it looked like the desktop app only allowed processing a single file at a time. But I logged a ticket with support and I've been steered towards the action wizard, which looks like it will work for me.

Thank you. In the end I was able to do it with the desktop app, using the action wizard.

Hi Anthony,

I'm sure you'll work it out, but just as an illustration, the Action was very simple:

I selected the 'folder' options, for iterating through all files in that folder. And then for 'Save' just specify as Excel.
