Batch PDF conversion

Community Beginner ,
Mar 27, 2018 Mar 27, 2018

Hi,

Is-it possible to make a bach conversion of many (932) Word documents in PDF with Acrobat XI Pro or another one in Windows 10 ?

Is-it possible to convert a document with Acrobat XI Pro in Windows 10 without it opens the file automatically?

Thanks!

I have the version 11.0.23 of Acrobat XI Pro.

I do a right click on a document on my desktop. Then, I click on the command "Convert to Adobe PDF format" (free french traduction) in the opening menu.

Try the Action Wizard.

Hi Bernd Alheit,

Thank you for your suggestion!

The Action wizard doesn't include the Create section where I can find the Conversion commands. But I found in the File menu in the sub-menu "Create" the command "Create a batch of files", which was not present in the Create menu of the Tools ribbon. So, I can convert my Word file in PDF with this command.

Do you have also a suggestion about my second question: Is-it possible to convert a document (right clic on the document to choice the "Convert to a Adobe PDF format") with Acrobat XI Pro in Windows 10 without it opens the PDF file automatically after conversion?

Unfortunately, it's not possible. The Action will always open each file it

processes, but it should close it when done.

Hi try67,

Sure it closes the windows of the original document application (ex: MS Word for a DOCX document) but it open after the PDF document with the default application (ex: Acrobat XI Pro for a PDF document), and leave it open! Can I change something in Acrobat?

That's strange... It doesn't do that for me.

What commands does your Action have, exactly?

Also, what's your exact version number of Acrobat?
