We recently updated to Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017, and I'm having trouble with the bookmarks. Whenever I delete a page or insert a PDF, all of my bookmark names change. Any bookmark with more than one page gets renamed to include the number of pages included in that bookmark. So, if I had 30 bookmarks named "A," "B," "C," etc., and I delete a page, it changes the bookmark names to "A (3 pages)," "B (20 pages)," "C (15 pages)," etc. This happens EVERY TIME, so even if I just delete them, if I add or delete a page after that, the bookmarks change again. Is there any way to stop it?

How do you delete or insert the pages?

I'm using PDFlyer from CCH (the "Insert PDF" tool). It looks like there's an "Insert from File" tool in Adobe that doesn't change the bookmarks, but I like the PDFlyer tool because it automatically inserts the entire PDF under the selected bookmark, and creates a bookmark for the inserted PDF using its document name. It saves me time (vs. using "Insert from File," figuring out what page the current bookmark ends, and having to bookmark/title the new pages).

This looks like a option of PDFlyer.
