Bottom of page getting cut off.

Community Beginner ,

When I try to print files from Adobe Acrobat, it cuts off the bottom of my sewing pattern pdf's.  I have a new printer, so I think it is something in the way Adobe is reading the printer settings.

When I look at the page set up in Adobe, there is a large bottom margin, which is why things are getting cut off.  However, if I print the same file using Mac preview, with the same printer, it doesn't get cut off.  So there is some sort of interaction between Adobe and my Epson-ET2850.

Any ideas?

On Acrobat's print dialog, you can select to "Fit" the content to the correct margins of your printer. This way, Acrobat should know how to scale the document so that nothing gets cut off. I have the ET3850, and I've never had that problem when I use "Fit" vs "actual size"

Thanks, that worked.  It has me a little bit concerned because all of my sewing patterns say, do no select "Fit" and I've never had to in the past.  After doing some reading, it seems like it started happening with the 8/23 update of Adobe, and this was the first pattern I've tried since then.

See if you need to update your print driver. That gives the programs the allowable print area capable.

Notice that your Page Setup is for "any printer". It should be just for your Epson model.

Where is Acrobat's print dialog located?

I am having the same issue with my Mac and HP Envy 4501 printer. Pattern makers do say not to use the "FIT" setting. I have printed with FIT and the size of the item on the page is not the same.

Unfortunately, the "fit" option does scale the content of the page down.
You could try the poster or tile option to print your document on more than one sheet and then tape them together:

I have discovered how to fix my issue! I went into the printer settings and changed from 8.5x11 to A4, which is 8.27 by 11.69 inches. It now prints the bottom of the page and all the markers are complete. I am amazed that simple change has fixed it.

Do you have the proper print driver installed and selected?

I got it to work by going into "Page Setup" choosing "letter size" and then removing the borders.

The problem is the "Any Printer" selection. You want to select your printer and it should extend the bottom of the printable area. After clicking Command>Print, I then click the "Page Setup" and "Printer" buttons at the bottom of the dialog box and select my printer's name, instead of "Any Printer". Then the printable area in the preview of the Print dialog box gets larger. (If it doesn't automatically adjust, try playing around with the scale settings until you see a change.) I hope that helps!
