Hi,

Why? with other computers it doesn't happen.
Thanks a lot for your help,
Matteo

What happens if you try to replace the existing file?

I can't do it because it has the same name of the original one. I have to change the name before i save it

Yes, but what happens if you do not change the name, and try to save over the top in the usual way?

I can't. I bacome the message that the file already exists and I have to change the name.

Do you mean this message (with your own file name)?
If so, what happens if you reply Yes?

Yes like this. If i try i can't replace it because the file is still open

Do you mean you get an error message? Please tell us the EXACT WORDS, we cannot guess what you see on screen, and unfortunately Acrobat has many different issues.

That's the message. Unfortunately it's italian aber the translation is: "The fil could be only in reading mode or it could be open by another user. Save the file with another name or in a different folder"

Are these files on a shared/network drive? I would look at the properties of the PDF in your OS (finder) to see if they are designated as read-only, perhaps.
My best,
Dave

Yes they are. With the files on the computer there are no problems but with the files no the shared network the problem is still there.
But the files are not read-only.
Best regards

If the files are being show as Read Only by the operating system, then Acrobat will appropriately not write over the files. You need to find out why the OS is mounting the networked files as Read Only. If the network share belongs to your company, you might ask the IS people why that is happening.

But with the other types of files it doesn't happen. They are not set as Read Only and the user can change them.
Moreover the other users can save the pdf files in the shared network without problems.
