Calculations in PDF forms

New Here ,

I created a form in PDF and added calculations, and tested it.  When I sent it to client, and they opened it in Acrobat reader, the calculations are finicky.  For example:

Qty x Price = Total.  If client inputs qty then form is fine.  But if they go back, and change qty, the total doesn't get updated.

The type of behavior you describe is typical of an incorrect field calculation order. Exactly how you set it depends on which version of Acrobat you're using.

It would be helpful to have a link to sample form with this issue so we can see all the possible issues with your form.

Did you check the calculation order?

Do you know what device and PDF viewer they are using?

Mobile devices and their apps are very limited in their ability to process form fields.

The calculation order is indeed incorrect. To set it using Acrobat DC, first go into form editing mode (Tools > Prepare Form) and then in the right-hand panel select: More > Set Field Calculation Order

You want the totals to be after the quantity fields and the GrandTotal at the very end.
