Can't combine JPEGs into one PDF

Community Beginner ,
Dec 10, 2019 Dec 10, 2019

I just updated my Acrobat to the Pro DC version and suddenly I can no longer combine mutiple JPEGs into one PDF.

Here is what I am doing:

1. Save out a few files from Photoshop as JPEGs

2. Click File/Create/Combine Files into a single PDF (this is how I have always done it)

3. Click Add Files

Only some JPEGs can be opened while others cannot.

I also tried to create a PDF portfolio but after I add the files and create the PDF they are not visible. Clicking the Open button reveals a box that says that Adobe cannot open the file attachment because your PDF file attachment settings do not allow this file type to be opened.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does this mean Acrobat can no longer combine JPEGs into PDFs?

But that was my issue. I save out JPEGs from Photoshop and want to combine them into a PDF but now Acrobat will not recognize those files.

Hello

My office just updated Adobe Acrobat pro DC and now I am unable to combine any image file into a PDF. I tried PNG, JPG, and TIFF

These are the steps I have tried:

Op 01: selected all files then right-click and select combine files into PDF. It puts a warning sign on the files and a window pops up with an "unknown error" message then another pop-up window with "adobe Acrobat could not open "file name.png" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged.

The message suggested printing the image into PDF, but This is quite time-consuming considering I have to create these files every day and I combine 5 to 20 images per file. If I have to print every image and then create the file losing this function (combine all images at once) has duplicated the time I use on this, a step that used to be just a few clicks.

Please advise a more efficient workflow

OP 2, Go to "Edit PDF", and click "Add image" Same errors and messages happen

OP 3 Drag and drop the image. Same errors and messages happen

OP 4 Drag and drop to a blank page. Same errors and messages happen

OP 5 Create a new PDF from file. Same errors and messages happen

Please Help

What's the exact version number of Acrobat? What's your OS version?

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for the reporting the issue.

We tried the same workflow on latest Mac iOS Catalina with our latest builds; but are not able to reproduce the same.

Can you share few set of files for which the issue is reproducible?

Regards,

Swapnil Srivastava
