I just spent two hours with Adobe tech support. I have Windows 11 and the DC cloud never fully installed. I can't convert an AutoCAD dwg file to pdf, which is one of the main reasons I got the Pro version. Tech support uninstalled, reinstalled, cleaned, etc., and still couldn't get the dwg files to convert. What gives?

Hi Jo

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. As described you are unable to create PDF form Autocad  files.

Is this an issue with Autocad files only or with all the other format files? Please try with a different format file and check.

What happens when you try to create the PDF form Autocad files, do you get any error messages? If yes please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to create the PDF? Please try to create the PDF form Acrobat file menu > Create > PDF from file and check if that helps.

Also, please try to turn to repair the installation form the help menu (Win Only) and reboot the computer once. Also make sure you have the recent version 21.11.20039 installed. Go to help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

you may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

Is this an issue with Autocad files only or with all the other format

*I've had no issues with other file types*.

What happens when you try to create the PDF form Autocad files, do you get
any error messages? If yes please share the screenshot of the same for a
better understanding.

* I get an error message in a dialogue box and one option is to Learn More.
When I click on that, I'm taken to a page that offers different fixes
depending on the version of Adobe that you have. I was with tech support
for 2 hours this morning and they tried all of the suggestions from that
page. Still can't convert an autocad file to pdf.*

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to create the PDF? Please try to
create the PDF form Acrobat file menu > Create > PDF from file and check if
that helps.

*We tried that.*

Also, please try to turn to repair the installation form the help menu (Win
Only) and reboot the computer once. Also make sure you have the recent
version 21.11.20039 installed. Go to help > Check for updates and reboot
the computer once.

*Tech support did all of that.*

You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here
https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...

*I got so disgusted that I finally had tech support remove the program and
cancel my subscription. The only reason I was using a paid form of Adobe
was to make sure I could convert every file I use into pdfs. When I turn my
work in (I'm in grad school), all of my project work must be one pdf file.*

you may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights
in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application
there and check.

*Tech support tried that.*

Sorry to say that acrobat pr has become total garbage since version XI. That worked great....I have more issues with DC NOT doing something than doing it correctly. The answers are always the same...remove...repair...none of which ever work. We cancelled all of our subscriptions and I create PDFs from inside the native application with no issues.
