Can't reply to Text box or Text callout comments

New Here ,
May 07, 2019 May 07, 2019

When reviewing a document where I or a colleague have added comments, I don't see a "reply" link or box in the Comments bar for "Text box" or "Text callout" comment types.

I do see a "Reply" link for other comment types (e.g. Applied Stamp, Line, or Arrow).

I'm using Acrobat Pro DC 2015.006.30495.

My colleagues with newer (2018?) versions of Acrobat Pro DC do see a "reply" box for those comment types.

And if one of them has previously replied to a Text Box or Text Callout comment, I can reply to that reply.

Any suggestions here?

Have you found a solution for the problem? I am experiencing the same issue with Acrobat Pro DC 2015.006.30352.

Sounds like Acrobat was improved in the years since you opted to freeze on a 2015 feature set... it's your choice, but you will diverge more and more from the features in the current version.

Unfortunately, I have no control over the version of the software in use since it is supplied by the company I work for. I would however like to know if this is a feature that does not exist/work in the 2015 version or if I am just missing a setting somewhere in the program.

We're unlikely to be able to tell you, since we won't be running this old version. It isn't even the latest free update to the 2015 version, it's just frozen. I'd say, especially as two have reported it, it's fair to assume that as of that version, this is what it did.  You could ask your company to at least apply the free updates, which are security patches for the most part.

I see the same problem on Acrobat Pro XI 11.0.07.79, so perhaps there is some nuance here besides just the user's version?
