Can the +Create tab be removed?

When I have multple files open it is in the way and I cannot click on the top bar to drag the window around. I would like to remove this +Create tab from my view. How do you do this?

This is part of the interface and cannot be controlled by the user. I suggest putting a request in on Uservoice.
