Cannot DELETE text on PDF document - NO AVAILABLE SYSTEM FONT

Contributor ,

When I try to edit text with Adobe Acrobat Pro X 10.1.0 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 on a PDF document made on Windows, I get the error:

"All or part of the selection has no available system font. You cannot add or delete text using the currently selected font."

I have done as indicated here:

Error "All or part of the selection has no available system font..."| Edit text in PDF

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/330/330971.html

but I get the same error when trying to delete text. How to delete text? Thanks.

Tools > Protection > Mark for Redaction. There are two parts to the process: First you mark text for redaction. Then you redact it. I'd suggest reading the Acrobat Help file section on redaction for details. The advantage of redaction is that it permanently removes the selected text from the file.

The best way to delete text is the redacting tool.

Thanks. Where is such "redacting tool" in Adobe Acrobat Pro X v.10.1.0 on Mac OS X 10.6.8?

Is it the "Tools - Content - Edit Text & Objects - Edit Document Text?

Is it the "Tools - Content - Edit Text & Objects - Edit Object?

Is it the "Tools - Content - Edit Text & Objects - Add or Edit Text Box?

None of them work, because I get the error indicated in my message above.
