Hello. I've created a pdf that navigates similar to a web page using links, allowing the user to click around to different pages within the pdf. When I created the links I made them invisible so that they wouldn't disrupt the visual flow of my document. Now, I need to move things around and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to edit (move and/or delete) the links I've created. I've searched extensively for an answer to this, many of which tell me
"Choose Tools > Edit PDF > Link > Add or Edit.
The pointer becomes a cross hair, and any existing links in the document, including invisible links, are temporarily visible."
Except that my links never become "temporarily visible" as is suggested. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Try using the "Select an Object" tool (it has an icon of a black cursor) to edit them.

Are you positive there are hard links on the PDF page? When your cursor moves over one in Acrobat, and it turns into a pointing hand, is there a "W" inside the hand (for "Web link")? If there isn't a tiny W in there, then you're hovering over a "soft" link, one that Acro is detecting solely because the text looks like a URL. It's a preference that's turned on by default in Acrobat and Reader. And the correct instructions for Tools > Edit PDF > Link to view them temporarily doesn't show these soft links.
When it detects a hard link, it shows blue rectangle around it, that can be moved and resized, or double-clicked to see the Properties.
If you're positive there are hard links in the PDF, how did you create them ... in a different program before exporting to PDF, or in Acrobat itself?

Hi AnneMarie. Thanks for taking the time to answer. The links were created by me, within an earlier version of the same document. They don't link to an outside web site, they link to other pages within the same pdf. When I hover over them, I get a hand and clicking does function as expected.

okay, got it. Thanks. So you made the links in Acrobat with the Link tool? But in an earlier version of Acrobat?
