I have Acrobat DC, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program and if I'm in another program I need to print to pdf using acrobat but it doesn't show up as an option. When I try to manually install the printer via the instructions found online, i notice a few things are different. Main thing being the location where the inf file is supposed to be isn't there. I can't find it anywhere... helpppp.

Take a look at this: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/adobe-pdf-printer-missing-after-installing-acroba... - this might fix your problem.

I have the same problem with not having the adobepdf.inf file. I have DC 64 bit Reader and I tried following the instructions to load the patch. It told me that it either couldn't find the installation or it was the wrong patch. I just want to be able to save printer settings. I've given up within a document, so I thought I might try changing the defaults within the Adobe printer. It wasn't there and nor was the file to enable me to create a printer. I think I will have to find another reader that works.

If you have the free "Reader" as you stated and not Adobe Acrobat, you do not have the Adobe PDF printer - that's only part of Adobe Acrobat.

Hi Carl
What I really want to do is save print settings so that they are correct the next time I open the document. Does this work in Acrobat Reader. If so, how? If not, will the standard Adobe program allow me to do this?
