Cannot install Acrobat Pro DC - please help!!

Hi,

I recently had to change laptops (PC) as my previous one (with functioning CC suite installed) corrupted. I have tried installing CC on my new laptop (Windows 10 Pro Version 1607) and am able to install CC desktop app, and also Illustrator and Photoshop no problems but i am having zero success installing Acrobat Pro DC. I have attempted all the troubleshooting options that I have found on this forum including:

  • deleting temp files from C:\Windows\Temp and from C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Temp, restarting and attempting to reinstall;
  • unistalling CC and all apps, running AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe and attempting to reinstall;
  • downloading offline Acrobat Pro DC installer and attempting to reinstall;
  • changing the print spooler to manual and attempting to reinstall (one forum user said this solved it for them).

I get the error message "We are unable to install Acrobat DC this time. Please click "retry" to start again. (Error Code: C136)."

I have also received this error message as well: "DW003: Third party payload installer Adobe Acrobat\Setup.exe failed with exit code: 1603"

Are there ANY other suggestions for what i can do? I am feeling so frustrated and have wasted about two days trying to solve this issue.

Hi, i had already tried all of those solutions (where relevant). Unfortunately none of them helped and the issue remains unresolved.

Please enable Windows Installer logging (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/223300/how-to-enable-windows-installer-logging),

try to install again, collect latest MSIxxxx.log file from User Temp folder and send it to me or put it somewhere I can access it.

Error 1603 is generic MSI error; we need the exact error from MSI transaction.
