I'm not sure if I have the right forum for this but I just upgraded to Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) and now I can't print to pdf in Microsoft Edge. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Sean

What version of Adobe Acrobat do you use?

Adobe is well aware of the problem and the impending problem with Chrome
Its a modern web-browser "old plug in" problem
Microsoft are not going to accept a known security weakness [adobe plugin in] in Edge and advise that if one wants to print to PDF with Adobe, stick with Internet Explorer
The fix most certainly does rest with Adobe, no matter what Dov Isaacs has responded.

I, being an old fart, have used Microsoft for decades. Before Windows, we had to type commands. For some reason, Microsoft decided to take us back to the old days. In order to print a pdf file from the Edge browser, you can type the print command. When you see your printable pdf page, press and hold the <ctrl> key and type p. That <ctrl> p is an ancient print command from Microsoft. It should work from any browser. It worked for me!!

Unfortunately, from within Edge taking this approach and selecting the "Adobe PDF" as the printer still causes the Acrobat printer to hang, which is the nature of this issue. Selecting the "Print" function from within Edge or using <CNTRL> P gives the same popup print window for you to select a printer. There is an incompatibility between Edge and Acrobat, which is what this growing thread is all about, and it is a problem that doesn't allow a document in Edge to be printed into an electronic PDF file.

Ah, that's different. I don't have Acrobat under Windows, so I just used the built in Windows 10 print to pdf feature, and that seems to work.

Right, the Win10 OS itself works great with Acrobat, it's the Edge browser that has the conflict with Acrobat's printer. Thanks for the response in any case!

Further to this post, I have printed to pdf from Microsoft Word, Excel, and Notepad with no issues. SO far, it only seems to be an issue with Microsoft Edge.

‌Did you try the Internet Explorer?

After searching for and finally finding Internet Explorer, I opened a page and was able to print to pdf from that. It seems that there is a compatibility issue with Microsoft Edge.

‌Yes, MS Edge is new, Acrobat XI is old.

So does Adobe plan on making the pdf print driver compatible with Windows 10 or are am I to infer that my only option is to upgrade my Adobe Acrobat to the latest version?

I can't answer this question.
Why didn't you use "Create PDF from Web Page" in Acrobat?

I just don't see the need to open Acrobat when it's listed as a selectable printer when I click on 'File' then 'print.' In all the years I've been using Adobe Acrobat, I have never had an issue doing it this way. Seems it should be an easy fix for Adobe. I guess the high price for the software doesn't include making it user friendly?

I also don't see the need to open Adobe -- that just complicates life. However, when I tried, I cannot "Create PDF from Web Page" in Acrobat

Same problem, using Adobe XI Pro. Haven't seen a fix yet, but would be a great update for Adobe. Problem may stem from Edge not using add-in's yet (hello, Norton!).
Adobe, any fix on the horizon for this inability to select "print" then Adobe PDF as the printer from within Edge?

I'm not sure about you, snoman, but I can select "print" then Adobe PDF as the printer from within Edge, however, nothing happens. Until I hear that Adobe has this issue resolved, I reverted my default browser to IE. I can print to PDF from there. I hope someone from Adobe answers this issue soon.

I too select "print" then Adobe PDF as the printer from within Edge, however the adobe progress gauge that comes up [sometimes!] freezes at about 25%

Just one more thing to add to this.
I am an expert at HP's forum.
I open many manuals everyday.
Try to open the maintenance and service guide with Edge and IE.
