Cannot Save as Image..."Can't read file header"

I recently had to reinstall Adobe Pro, and ever since, I cannot save PDFs as any image file. First, when I attempt to save as an image file, let's say to my desktop, and then I go to my desktop, there is no image file saved there. However, if I open my file explorer, I can see the image file in my "Recent Files" list. But when I click it from there to open it, I get this message:

C:\Desktop\image.jpg: Can't read file header!

Unknown file format, empty/damaged file or file not found!

Also, when I right click > Properties on the file name, it says 0kb.

Any ideas? I've searched the web high and low and can't find anyone else who has had this issue. Thought I'd check here to see if any Adobe heroes can help!

Thanks!

Just an update in case anyone else ever has this issue - a repair didn't help, and the only solution I found was to uninstall completely and reinstall. That fixed it.
