Hello.

I am trying to use Acrobat Reader DC to sign digitally with an Oberthur Cosmo v8.1 R2 token on MacOS 12.2. I have installed the AWP driver given by the supplier of the token and followed the steps below to configure Acrobat:

Open Preferences in Acrobat Reader DC (dropdown menu under Acrobat Reader menu)

Click on Signatures Identities & trusted certificates - click on More.. button

Click on the PKCS11 Modules and Tokens

Click on Attach module

Copy /Library/AWP/lib/libOcsCryptoki.dylib here

Click on the Oberthur eToken

Click Sign In Enter your token password

Click on your Token under Oberthur eToken

Select the master certificate which will be used for signing

Close the window

When I reach the step where I click on the eToken and click Sign In I get the error:

PKCS#11 Error - Error Code: 0x5

Do you know what this error means?

Thank you

This seems to be a problem with the AWP Identity Manager driver 5.3.4. When I tried an older driver (5.2) and inserted the other driver's path (/usr/local/AWP/lib/libOcsCryptoki.dylib), Acrobat Reader communicated properly with the token.

However, another problem came up, concerning OCSP revocation checking, when the OCSP url uses a http connection (https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/926812-acrobat-reader-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/39746959-...)
