Change Author Property for Sticky Note

I want to change my name from "Kevin" to "Kevin Stecyk" as the author on my Sticky Notes.

I have tried opening the Annotations Panel and right mouse clicking on the Sticky Note. Unfortunately, "Kevin" is in gray and can't be changed.

When I create a Sticky Note, I can right mouse click on the Sticky Note and change my name to Kevin Stecyk. However, on the next note, I am back to just Kevin. I can even change my name and select "Make Properties Default". Again, once I create a new Sticky Note, I am back to just Kevin.

How do I change the author property for Sticky Note (and others) and have that change stick?

- Go to Edit - Preferences - Comments and untick the box that says "Always

use log-in name for author name".

- Restart Acrobat.

- Create a new comment, edit it and set it as the new default.

Thank you for your helpful and accurate answer. You solved my question.

Out of curiosity, how do we change or edit the log-in name? Is it important?

It's the Windows account user name. You can't change it from Acrobat, but it's not very important because you can simply ignore it.

You can change other identity values via Edit - Preferences - Identity, though.

the answer does not address the fact that, in Adobe Acrobat DC, the button `Make Properties Default' fails to function properly: the next pop-up window does not recall the property changes made in an earlier pop-up window.
