Changing Text Form Fields to Number Form Fields

Contributor ,

Hi everyobody. I'm new to the world of forms in Acrobat, so I'm sure I'm missing something really basic, but I can't seem to find the answer online.

Basically, I've got a form, the fields are all there. I wanted to change some of them to phone-number fields, but the only options I get are:

There were more options in another form I created before this one, including phone numbers.

I'm obviously missing something really basic here, anybody wanna give me a nudge in the right direction, lol? Thanks in advance for any help.

Convert the Adobe Sign form to a Acrobat form. Use the dropdown with the name "More" for this. You will see the dropdown at the right side.

I'm running the latest version (I have auto-updates turned on), 2020.13.20074. At least the CC app says it's the latest, lol.

Thank you very much for your reply. I've seen that process mentioned elsewhere, but I can't see how to convert the file. Is it a Save-As or export function? Sorry, I'm obviously a noob with this, I appreciate your help.

To avoid this from happening in the future do not tick the (badly mislabelled) box that says "This form requires signatures" when creating it, as that converts it to an Adobe Sign form, instead of a regular one.

Ahhh, that's good to know, thanks. I naively selected that option since the form will require signatures. Leave it to Adobe to make something as counterintuitive as possible 😉

Thanks for your help, hope you have a happy and safe Holiday season!

Open the Prepare Form panel, then click on the "More" local menu.

Thanks. As far as I can see, there is no icon or menu that has an option called "More." I click the Prepare Form icon, but the only item in the workspace that says "More" is the "More Options" button right beneath Prepare Form, but all that does is take me to the Tools workspace (2nd image). Where is this mysterious "More" button/menu I've read so much about?

Look at top right of the first picture. Above the field names.
