I want to check which color profile is associated with a pdf. The problem is, even though I export the pdf once again with a color profile (tested both included and not included destination profile) the profile listed in
Output Preview, as well as under
Color Conversion > Output intent is listed as
'U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2'. If I change the "Simulation profile" in Output Preview, the profile listed under Color Conversion also changes.
I have tried with SEVERAL different PDF:s, even old ones that I know have specific color profiles assigned, and all give the same output: 'U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2'

To check what (if any) ICC profile your PDF is currently using, take the following steps:
- Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Open the Convert Colors dialog box by choosing Tools, Print Production, Convert Colors.
- Look for the section called Output Intent.
- Check the Profile selected in the drop-down list.
