Good afternoon,

I have clients that would need to enter a URL resource from the web in a text box in my Adobe form I am creating. When I receive the form back from them, I need to be able to click on the link that should fit in my text box no matter the size of the link.  I use Adobe Acrobat 2017 and here is what I need to know, please:

1. What properties does my text box need so clients can input a URL that is hyperlinked?

2. What properties does my text box need so the URL can fit in the form text box?

Thank you for your assistance.

You have a problem, as those two requirements conflict with each other.

To do #1 you need to define the field as having Rich Text Formatting, and then the user could define a part of the text as a hyperlink (using the Properties Bar which can be opened with Ctrl+E). However, if you do that then you won't be able to set the font size to Auto, which is what is needed to make sure the text fits into the field (#2).
