Our company pays big bucks to Adobe for Creative Cloud, yet I'm using FoxIT to convert from Word docs to Pdf? I've tried the online Adobe Express or whatever....it's so slow loading the few docs I have to convert that the timer just spins and spins and nothing happens. Nice! Am I doing something wrong. I shouldn't have to convert each file to to a repsective Pdf file first just to merge them, should I?
I can do this very simply in FoxIT.
Any advice is appreciated.

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
What happens when you try to combine the files? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for more clarity. A small video recording of the steps and the issue would be very helpful.
What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20687 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and see if that works.

Hi Amal. I'm fairly new to the process and I'm connected to our VPN while running this. Essentially I highlight a group of Word docs, right click and use the "Convert Files to PDF". The files are properly read into Acrobat, but when I click the convert button, I get the screen shot below. Clicking yes to repair, or no, results in a file icon with an exclamation mark.

Hi there
Please go through the correct answer marked in the similar discussion https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/missing-pdfmaker-files/m-p/9777981#M96445 and see if that works.
