Help! I have used Adobe Professional DC on MAC for a some years now, and as of today, selecting the "Combine Documents" task results in.... this field simply disappearing.
It's a complete crisis for my business as I've got two extensive file builds due this week that require document combining.
I can see it under Adobe Pro --> Window--> Combine Documents, however selecting this window results in nothing happening whatsoever. I checked every possible location on multiple windows on my desktop and it simply is not there.
Any thoughts on where it might have gone?
Assume corrupt application and reload?
I paid outright for this application 18 months ago rather than subscription model so I'm not sure I can simply download it again without buying it.
Any thoughts appreciated!

This command was never available under the Window menu... Maybe you're using a plugin?
The built-in command in Acrobat to combine files is located under File - Create.

Hi try67, thanks for your thoughts.. agree, File--> Create --> Combine Files is one (of at least two) valid ways to launch Combine Files, the one I was using was under Tools --> Combine Files (visual menu icons) but the result was the same... the Combine Files submenu disappeared (or more correctly never appeared). So this critical feature was unavailable. I could still see the feature under Windows --> Combine Files but it was unavailable for use.
It turns out from an extended remote desktop session with technical support that the problem was identified as corrupted *.plist files in my Adobe applications library. It was necessary to have technical support hunt and delete these files in various directories... way above my knowledge level.
I can consider this resolved (for now) by technical support assistance - remote access to my computer was necessary.
It may be good to preserve this thread so anyone else encountering this problem knows they may need tech help on it. Not sure how common of a problem it is but it's a complex one.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
