Comments Flood My Screen Every Time I Open A PDF Only On My Computer!

The Pdf's I open obviously contain comments but when I open them all the sticky notes or comments flood the screen everytime as soon as its opened and I really do not need them. The weird thing is it happens with adobe DC, Adobe Pro, and now i am trying PDF Pro Office and the same thing. What is even more strange is that any other user in my office on their own computer can open the same exact file on the shared network drive we open the PDF's from and every time it opens on any other computer the comments are automatically hidden. Please help it is annoying everytime to have to hide the comments just so I can see the PDF.

Hi Matts,

If the PDF contains the comments, they will be visible on the document.

However, the notes added with the comments will not appear on opening the document.

Try once to check the preference settings for comments in the application.

Launch Acrobat or Reader and go to Edit menu > Preferences > Commenting.

Check if that helps.

Could you please let us know what exactly you mean by comments flood the screen?

It would be helpful if you can share the screenshot for the same.

Also, let us know the application others are using to open the PDFs.

Let us know if you need any help.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. That is what I figured if the comments were there then they would be visible on the document but like I said I can open the same exact file on the same exact shared network drive on a different computer and it does not display all of the sticky notes. What I meant by flooding the screen was as soon as I open the PDF in this case a plat map after the pdf loads all of the sticky notes pop up and cover the entire pdf and then i have to go into comments and click hide all comments so I can see the plat map, but when I open the same exact pdf file from the same shared network drive location on a different computer no sticky notes pop up and cover the screen. Any help is appreciated I have tried everything I can think of as far as the settings go.
